Peter Dowse :: Online Marketing and SEO Specialist

Kylie joined Yahoo! in 2006 and has since held a number of positions including managing sales team, managing customer solutions department, and sales operations team. Kylie is also charged with leading the launch of the new sponsored search platform in Australia and New Zealand, which is one of the biggest product launch of the company’s history.

During her 10-year career, Kylie has worked predominantly in the online space. Prior to joining Yahoo!, Kylie worked in sales, client services and operations roles at Telecom New Zealand, hotjobs.com.au and News Limited where she was responsible for building client relationships, developing teams and streamlining business processes

Nathan Stewart, Managing Director - Alkemi

With a solid background in Financial Planning, in 1996 Nathan begun helping companies improve the way they acquire and retain customers using the Internet.

With over a decade of experience in Internet Marketing, Nathan has been appointed to the Board of multiple Web Development and Search Marketing firms around Australia and New Zealand.

Mark Allison has recently been appointed Territory Manager for the new WebTrends division covering Australasia.

Mark was born in Christchurch New Zealand, 1972. He graduated from Canterbury University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mark has ten years Web Analytics experience, with 7 of those based in London. He worked as a Consultant with WebTrends in the UK and at Reed Elsevier, TUI, ITV, News International and Agency.com. Mark’s expertise include; online analytics, ad systems, transactional booking systems, and email systems.

e returned to Australia and worked for The Coles Group, where he was responsible for Web Optimisation and Reporting. Achievements include; increasing online sales, conversion rates, web traffic and cost savings. He has a wide and deep knowledge of WebTrends, Web Analytics and the online world.

Ben Wilks :: Director - Wilks Media

Ben has been involved with search engine marketing since 1996 and his favourite area is natural search, portals and Internet strategy.

Using premium organic search engine optimisation strategies he offer his clients maximum ROI and prefers to work closely with his clients on either a revenue share, or lead generation basis, however he does also offer traditional SEO/SEM services and can also do PPC, but as a consultant he advises moving to organic search asap.

Cameron Winslow :: Managing Director - Australia

Originally from the USA, Cameron comes to us from a diverse business background in both the states and here in the local Australian market. He graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies before embarking on a successful business career in New York City.

He spent the next ten years holding sales and marketing management positions in executive search, real estate brokerage, and telecommunications corporations. Cameron’s experience across multiple industries, consulting with SME companies with the ultimate goal of driving and increasing revenue, has proven to be invaluable to our customers as they develop their integrated marketing strategies.

Upon relocating to Australia, Cameron studied at Australian Graduate School of Management in Sydney and Bond University on the Gold Coast, where he graduated with a Masters of Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing.

Cameron is responsible for driving business development, strategic marketing, and operations activities for Vertical Leap Australia.

 

 

Carl Christie :: Director - SEO Australia

Carl is responsible for overseeing operations and managing the team of SEO engineers and Marketers at SEO Australia.

He is a Search Engine Marketing specialist with a strong focus on Web Analytics and site conversion; also responsible for handling major accounts across the region.

Carl is an entrepreneur with extensive experience in interactive and online media, he is passionate about the Internet and the freedom of information it has brought the global community.

Prior to joining SEO, Carl worked at RedSheriff specialising in Web Analytics as Technical Account Director South Asia, responsible for maintaining and growing revenue for the region and managing key accounts.

Before that he was CTO and co-founder of GIV Direct the local reseller of Akamai edge delivery services and specialist in online delivery of video and audio.

He has also managed his own Web development business and prior to the WWW going public Carl worked in Multi-media and the Music business.

In his current role at dgmAustralia as Head of Production, Russell is in charge of production and technical aspects of all the dgm products, dgmSearchLab (Search Engine Optimisation and Search Engine Marketing), dgmPerformance (the dgm affiliate program) and the dgmAdNetwork.

Since Moving to Australia in 1997 Russell has been involved in the Australian Search Industry.

In 2002 Russell set up as an independent Affiliate Marketer, using various Search Engine Optimisation techniques to drive traffic to a variety of affiliate programs and pay per click businesses.

Prior to that he was Senior Search Engineer and technical lead for SEO, and subsequently Production Manager of SEO and trusted feeds at Decide Interactive.

Michael has extensive knowledge in applying data and information to client businesses. Previous appointments consist of Bankers Trust in Australia and Digital in the UK. Here, Michael established new office based sales operations which were expanded nationally and then into Project Management becoming involved in cutting edge service delivery projects that included packet switch mobile technologies.

Returning to Australia, Michael worked for M.A.I.D (Market Analysis & Information Database) and helped establish a new Australian operation in Sales & Account Management in online information services. Michael continued in this field finishing up with Thomson and heading up Asia Pacific Strategic Account Group.

John Matthews :: Client Services Director - dgmAustralia

John Matthews has been involved in Search Marketing since 1999 and has been employed with dgm companies from this point. As a founding member and employee of Webgravity, the UK’s largest search specialist, pre-merger with dgm, he has led the account management team from the company’s inception.

John moved to Australia in April 2004 to set up the search offering for the Sydney office and since this point has seen huge growth running campaigns for many of Australia’s leading brands, including Dell, Commonwealth Bank, Virgin Mobile, E*TRADE, Yahoo!7, Yahoo Search Marketing, LG & Volkswagen. The office has grown from 6 to 22 staff in this time period with growth being driven through all of dgm’s performance based channels. He is highly accredited for his work across Europe and in Australia, notably running one of the first Pan-European SEO campaigns for Buzz Airlines (KLM subsidiary), and managing the American Express global search account through 17 markets.

John’s role within the company has now changed from Head of Search to Client Services Director, in control of driving strategy to clients through Search Engine Marketing, Affiliate Marketing and Performance Media.
